BBM’s standard fee methodology is based on hourly rates determined by both the level of expertise of the attorney as well as the complexity and urgency of the matter.
Standard rate ranges are as follows:
Directors & Senior Consultants R1,800 – R3,000 per hour
Senior Associates R1,000 – R1,500 per hour
Associates R850 per hour
Candidate Attorneys R600 per hour
For corporate clients with regular work flow, these are adjusted in consultation with the client. Rates can also be negotiated on a total fee per project basis to assist corporate clients to budget the expense accurately.
With regard to clients who refer high volume undefended collections matters within the magistrates' court jurisdiction, work is generally charged on the Magistrates’ Court tariff or on a specific agreed tariff as per the clients' requirements.
